Chamelean
It happens when someone's bold, or laughing in front of me when I think they're laughing at me. Or if I think they're in love with themselves. And then afterwards, when I'm thinking about it later... I realize how wrong I am. Because that boldness? That's confidence. And the laughing? They're actually incredibly funny, so much that you have to keep yourself from laughing at everything that comes out of their mouths. And being in love with yourself... well, they have amazing self-esteem, so much they're willing to wear their hearts on their sleeves, and say what needs to be said. When I think about all of this, I start to think about how wrong I can be about someone. What do you know? Someone I first meet that I think is annoying... actually becomes one of my best friends :) My personality is somewhat like Remy from This Lullaby in a way... without the boldness (ha, ha). So far, I've misjudged (counts on fingers) at least nine people that I can think of right now. And here I am, always talking about judging people being a bad thing, when I do it all the time (hides face in shame). Have you ever misjudged someone as a bad person, when it turns out that they're really good?

Jade's Envelope
...But anyway...
I got that feeling again, that spark of inspiration, actually, when I was turning on my computer. So here I go.
People always talk about New Year's Resolutions, and how they would like to make a major impact on their lives during this year (like always). But, be real with me, how many things do you actually accomplish in the course of one year? I mean, those goals? *Crickets* Yeah. That's what I thought. So why not record those so-called etched in stone goals of yours?
That's what I'm going to do this year, hence the title. Here's the rules that I'm going to set for myself:
No peeking at your old scraps of paper till next year! 2012 (ooooh, Dooms Day, ha, yeah right).
Try to accomplish as many of your goals as possible.
Write a note to yourself every month, the little bits of info, like, favorite song at the moment, obsessions, stuff like that.
DON'T. SHOW. ANYONE.
And that's it.
I might post pictures of this soon. It's a work in progress, I guess.
*ALSO* A must-read book is "Loser/Queen" by Jodi Lynn Anderson. Just trust me on this. Don't even read the back. Just buy it. Sad, but soooo good. That's all.

8/26/09
It's a lot easier and less sappy than a diary, with still something to say, you know? And it's a lot quicker, and takes just three minutes to jot something- anything that you thought was funny or horrible -down. All this time I've been writing, I haven't even looked over what I had been writing for almost a year in tiny boxes. And the first date I read was today, a year ago.
It's odd reading something from a year ago, on the exact date, still someone you've yet to come. I've always wondered to myself, Gee, I wonder what I was doing on this exact date, identical time, three years ago. And let me tell you, reading it gave me the chills. Almost like looking in the mirror, and seeing yourself, but with a mask on. You can see all the flaws, the differences, and all the mistakes. It's creepy.
But I can't tell myself this. I can only warn myself now.
Today may have been average, typical, boring, but someday you'll look back on it and smile for what it was.
